Recently Thermal Technology delivered two crystal growing systems with innovative
design features to meet exacting customer specifications.
One system is a custom furnace with a 50 kW induction power supply for
Stepanov growth of oxide crystals up to 100 mm hexagonal by over 500 mm long. Included
with this system is a special semi-continuous feeder assembly that maintains the correct
melt level during the process. Other more standard features on this furnace system reflect
conservative design values to assure stability and reliability.
The second system is a proprietary design to produce, in a
semi-automatic manner, single crystal metal components by a modified Bridgman process.
