recently delivered a custom furnace for Stepanov growth of oxide crystals to a company in
the United States. This special furnace is capable of growing oxide crystals up to 100 mm
hexagonal by 510 mm long. A special semi-continuous feed mechanism was designed to
maintain the melt volume throughout the process. The furnace utilizes a 50 KW induction
power supply.
Thermal Technology offers crystal growth furnaces for the
following techniques.
- Bridgman
- Czochralski
- Kyropoulos
- Stepanov
The special system mentioned is similar to the Astro Model 10070-50CZ
which is capable of Czochralski growth of oxide crystals up to 100 mm diameter by 300 mm
long.
